๐ง Assembly, Care & Storage Guide
Everything you need to know to assemble, care for, and store your Gauri idol
โ ๏ธ Important Assembly Instructions
๐จ Always assemble the idol at the final display position. Moving the assembled idol can cause parts to shift or fall.
1
Ensure the stand or body base is fully stable and on a flat surface before starting assembly.
2
Hold each part firmly in position until it is fully secured. Do not let go before the part is locked.
3
To fix the face: roll a small piece of cloth or paper, insert into the face rod slot, then slide the face onto the U-shaped rod. This ensures a snug fit.
4
Attach legs/palms last, after all upper parts are secured.
5
Handle all plaster parts with extreme care โ they are fragile. Avoid sudden movements or rough surfaces.
๐ก Most faces have ear and nose holes for jewellery. Jewellery can be added or removed anytime after assembly. Contact assembly support: 9860243157
๐ชด Care Instructions
โ
Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use water or wet cloth on plaster parts โ it will damage the paint and finish.
โ
Jewellery: Remove jewellery after the festival before storing. Keep earrings, nose pins, and necklaces in a small pouch separately.
โ
Saree: Remove saree carefully after use. Fold and store in a dry place. The cloth body can be gently dusted with a soft brush.
โ
Plaster parts: Store in padded boxes. Never stack plaster parts directly on top of each other without padding in between.
โ
Fiber body: Fiber is very durable โ wipe clean with damp cloth. Resistant to minor drops. Store standing upright.
๐ฆ After Use โ 8-Step Storage Guide
๐จ Storage Caution: NEVER wrap plaster parts directly in newspaper. Newspaper ink can stick permanently to plaster and ruin the finish. Always use plastic wrap first, then newspaper outer wrap.
1
Support the structure carefully before beginning disassembly. Have another person help if possible.
2
Remove all jewellery carefully first. Store in a small labelled pouch.
3
Remove and fold the saree carefully. Store in a clean cloth bag.
4
Remove the face first. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
5
Place the sponge piece (provided with order) near the nose of the face to protect it during storage.
6
Wrap the face in plastic wrap first, then in soft cloth. Store in a padded box.
7
Remove hands, then body, then legs. Pack each part separately with plastic wrap first.
8
Store the stand in its original packaging or in a long, secure box. Label all boxes clearly.
